The Client
NTPC Talaipalli is a major coal mining project supporting fuel security for NTPC’s thermal power stations in India. The site operates with high-density traffic from dumpers, tippers, and staff buses, making safety a critical operational priority.
The Challenge
NTPC Talaipalli faced frequent overspeeding incidents involving heavy and light vehicles within its large premises. Manual monitoring was difficult due to the vast mining and plant area, leading to safety risks and non-compliance with internal safety norms.

Logix ITS deployed 7 radar-based speed display boards at key locations to show real-time vehicle speeds, flashing red when limits were exceeded. Cameras were integrated to capture license plates of overspeeding vehicles, while a centralized monitoring dashboard provided live violation tracking, detailed analytics, and integration with NTPC’s control room for enforcement.
